As a relatively new field, much of the history of graphic design is still evident around us. This places us in a unique position to document history as it is being forged. No design movement exists within a bubble; they are all a collection of personal narratives framed within a bigger picture. When we join in the lineage of designers past, their stories become the foundation on which we build the future. As designers, their stories are our heritage.

This is Design(Hi)stories, a podcast from students at Judson University, just outside of Chicago, Illinois. Each episode takes a theme in graphic design history and tells it as a story.
